Raigmore Hospital has a wide range of facilities intended to make your stay or visit as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

Our facilities

Raigmore restaurant

The restaurant (canteen) is located in Zone 9 and is open to visitors, staff, and patients throughout the day offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant has been accredited with the Eat Safe Award and also the Healthy Eating Award. The dining room offers a range of healthy meals and has recently installed a fresh fruit cereal bar.  Meal deals and daily specials are available.

  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 3.30pm

The Highlands Table cafés

The Highlands Table cafés are situated at both main entrances to Raigmore Hospital. They provide the perfect environment to have a meal or refreshments. All profits go back into patient care.

Outpatients entrance

  • Monday to Sunday: 8am to 4pm

Wards and departments entrance

  • Monday to Friday: 8am to 6pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 8am to 5pm

Menus

Produce is locally sourced and food is made on the premises daily:

  • coffee and tea
  • breakfast and morning rolls and snacks
  • lunch - soup, sandwiches, toasties, salads
  • a bakery selection

RVS Shop

The Royal Voluntary Service runs a convenience store at the front entrance of the main hospital, opposite the coffee bar. The shop sells items such as magazines, confectionery, soft toys and a wide range of toiletries.

  • Monday to Friday, 7am to 7.45pm
  • Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4.45pm

Friends of Raigmore Hospital gift shop

Within the main hospital building, the voluntary organisation Friends of Raigmore Hospital runs a gift shop staffed by volunteers which raises vital funds for the hospital. The shop sells items including jewellery, ladies scarves, stationery, gift items and baby clothing (including a range for premature babies).

  • Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm

Sanctuary

The multi-denominational chaplaincy based at Raigmore Hospital seeks to deliver spiritual, religious and pastoral care to patients, their carers and members of staff.

Call the switchboard and ask for the Duty Chaplain.
