Activities

We deliver a range of bespoke sessional activities. Our buildings-based service is in Invergordon, Ross-shire, but we deliver community support throughout the East Ross area. Our virtual groups are accessible to everyone.

Some of the activities we deliver:

Gardening

We have a range of gardening activities suitable for all levels of physical fitness within our extensive grounds. We have over an acre of grounds and grow vegetables, fruit and garden plants for selling or using in our cooking activities. If you wish to develop your gardening skills whilst improving your fitness this may be the activity for you.

Candle making

We make a wide range of hand-made candles and wax melts for selling. If you have always wondered how to make candles, now you can join us to learn a new skill, or book the room for this activity with your own staff team. If sessions are run by your own staff, we will deliver awareness sessions with your staff team in advance, ensuring you are able to make the most out of the sessions with our equipment safely.

Woodworking

We make a range of items using recycled wood wherever possible, including oak barrels from our local distillery and wooden pallets from other businesses. People participating in these groups have a wide range of skills; some enjoy the making aspect whilst others prefer the decorating side of this activity.

IT skills

We run a range of computer activities throughout the week to help people learn how to use Microsoft Word and access the internet safely. If you have your own support, computers can also be booked for sessions.

Please note, we are unable to deliver social media awareness sessions.

We also have strong links with Ability Net, who may be able to support 1:1 sessions to meet your learning needs.

Sensory room

We have a sensory room which can be booked for 1-hour sessions. Sessions can be run by either our staff or your own staff, depending on your preference. If sessions are run by your own staff, we will deliver awareness sessions with your own staff in advance, helping you to make the most out of your sessions.

Virtual and other activities

We also support people to access their local communities by providing support, or facilitating activities e.g. voluntary employment placements, accessing local leisure facilities or virtually-based activities.

We also run a wide range of virtual activities throughout the week such as cooking, music, bingo, quizzes and facilitating general socialisation. All we need for you to join us is your email address, and for you to download Microsoft Teams on your device.
