About the palliative care helpline

The helpline provides a single point of access for 24/7 advice, support and information for patients nearing the end of life, their families, carers and professionals across Highland and Argyll and Bute.

If you have been identified as in the last year of life, we’re here to help make this time as comfortable as possible so that you, and those close to you, can achieve the best possible quality of life.

You can call us when:

  • you are finding it difficult to get help, day or night, and you need advice
  • you are feeling anxious or frightened at any time
  • your GP surgery is closed

Your palliative care helpline is led by highly experienced nurses and delivered in partnership by Highland Hospice and NHS Highland.

Read about the palliative care helpline on the Highland Hospice website.
