Cervical screening

Cervical screening (smear test) is a quick test to check your cervix (neck of the womb) for the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV).

Where will I go for the test if I live in Argyll & Bute or Highland?

When you receive your cervical screening invitation you are invited to make your screening appointment will your local GP practice.

 

What if I need an interpreter or more help?

If you plan to make a cervical screening appointment let your GP Practice know if you:

  • Need an interpreter.
  • Have a disability.
  • Need any additional help.
