Patient Council
Caithness General Patients Council was established in April 2000. The Patients Council aims to be involved in the design and organisation of patient services and to provide feedback from the community about services. The members also assist with correspondence audits and act as a sounding board for new ideas and generate ideas for further action.

Reducing the risk of infections
Staff will display/provide information and advice about infections control
precautions such as how to care for personal laundry, hand hygiene, symptoms
and what to do if you have an infection. Please ask staff for advice
Alcohol hand hygiene gel for patient and visitor use is located near wash
basins and at the entrance to all wards and departments
Visitors with colds or recently in contact with infectious diseases please
postpone visiting
Always ask ward staff before visiting any patient in a single room
