Technology Enabled Care (TEC), is the use of technology to provide health and care services to people in their own homes, or near to home, helping people to live independently and safely.
Information in this section is mainly for people in the Highland HSCP area. For the Argyll and Bute HSCP area, read about Technology Enabled Care at Argyll and Bute Council.
Our key services include:
- Telecare - a personal alarm system used within the home to help people stay safe and independent for longer
- Telehealth - uses technology to provide healthcare away from a healthcare setting, often in your own home

Wellbeing Tech Thursdays
We are thrilled to introduce Wellbeing Tech Thursday, a monthly drop-in event hosted by the Technology Enabled Care team. These drop-ins are designed to helped individuals discover how technology can support them in living independently, healthily and happily.
