A spokesperson from NHS Highland said: “We are pleased to report that we are seeing an improved picture at Raigmore Hospital today following yesterday’s water leak.
“The site is still experiencing some disruption while areas are being repaired and brought back into use which has led to displacement of some patients and staff. However, contingency measures are in place to allow us to manage this and the hospital is back to being fully operational.
“Visiting fully reopened yesterday evening and we are grateful to members of the public for their cooperation and understanding during the temporary pause of visiting to the fourth and fifth floor.
“We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all colleagues who have supported us during this incident – acute teams across the hospital, our Estates colleagues, Domestic Services, Portering teams and the wider Facilities team who all continue to work to ensure this incident is being managed calmly and professionally. Grateful thanks also go to our colleagues in the community, our Infection Prevention and Control colleagues, Microbiology and the Scottish Ambulance Service, their support has been invaluable.”
