Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) is delighted to announce that Dr Turki Alhusaini was recently appointed on a permanent basis as the salaried General Practitioner (GP) for the Garelochhead and Kilcreggan GP practices.
Dr Alhusaini commenced in the post earlier this year and is working across both practices to meet the needs of local patients.
Dr Alhusaini said: "I am very pleased to join and work with Dr Dicker and the rest of the team at Kilcreggan and Garelochhead practices to help build on the services and quality of healthcare that is available for the local communities who use the practices."
Rowena Japp, Primary Care Manager for Board Managed Practices at Argyll and Bute HSCP, added: "We are really pleased that following a rigorous interview process, Dr Turki Alhusaini was successfully appointed as the salaried GP for the Garelochead and Kilcreggan GP practices. He has brought with him a wide range of experience and qualifications to the role and is a real asset to the local teams.
"This appointment has ensured that we have an additional permanent GP who is working across both practices to meet the needs of the local community. This has brought better stability to the practices, and as he was appointed as a permanent GP it helps us provide continuity of care for patients. We would also like to thank all the staff working at the practices for their ongoing commitment to the patients and for ensuring that we continue to provide a wide range of services locally."
