Organisations and community groups are being thanked for helping to keep the Highland Directory of Services accurate, relevant and growing, 18 months on from its launch.
The Highland Directory of Services brings together information about services, organisations, community groups and activities that support health and wellbeing across Highland. It helps individuals, families, carers and professionals find support and opportunities within their communities.
Developed in partnership by Highland Third Sector Interface and NHS Highland’s Health Improvement Team, the directory relies on local organisations to help keep information current and raise awareness of the directory.
Kirsty Harding, Senior Development Officer for Highland Third Sector Interface, said: “A huge thank you to all the organisations and community groups that have helped keep the Highland Directory of Services up to date over the past 18 months. By letting us know about changes and highlighting new services and activities, you are helping to ensure the directory remains a useful and reliable resource for Highland communities. Please continue to keep us informed of any updates or services we may have missed.”
Organisations are encouraged to check their existing listing and let us know about any changes, as well as tell us about services, community groups or activities that are not currently included.
Fiona MacLeod, NHS Highland’s Health Improvement Team said: “Keeping the directory up to date is important, but we also want to make sure people across Highland know it is there and can easily access it. We encourage organisations to help spread the word by displaying posters and business cards and sharing the directory through websites, newsletters and other digital channels.”
Whether someone is looking for support for themselves or their family, exploring opportunities in their community, or signposting others as part of their work, the directory provides a central place to find out what is available across Highland.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support the directory and help keep Highland communities connected.
