Child flu vaccination
On this page
NHS Scotland recommends all eligible children should get the flu vaccine to help protect them from influenza (flu).
Drop-in clinics
We are offering drop-in clinics during December 2025 for all eligible children including those who may have missed a flu vaccination when their school was visited.
No appointment needed but vaccinations are only available for eligible children. All attendees will be screened for eligibility on arrival.

Just before you travel for a drop-in clinic, refresh this page and check this list as details may have changed due to weather conditions or other reasons.
If there is not a drop-in clinic close enough to where you live, contact us in case there is other availability.
If you have received or made a later appointment at any vaccination clinic, you can still attend an earlier drop-in clinic. Just tell staff about your later appointment, which can be cancelled.
Bookable clinics for pre-school children
Parents or guardians will receive a letter asking them to phone our local Service Delivery Centre to make an appointment for their child.

Community vaccination clinic locations
A location on this map does not always represent a bookable or drop-in clinic there. Clinics will end, can fill up or be cancelled at short notice. Use this map only to find a clinic location if you need it.
You do not need to book at your closest venue if you don't want to wait. If you're able to travel, you can make a vaccination clinic booking at any available venue outside your local area, where capacity allows.

Help beat flu with a wee scoosh (video)
The flu vaccine is offered to children and young people aged 2 to 17 years and is usually given as a nasal (nose) spray into each nostril. It’s the safest and easiest way to help protect your child against flu.
