Overall remit

Generally, to co-ordinate and formulate advice from all of the clinical professions in Highland to the NHS Highland Board on matters of broad health care and in particular strategic issues. The Committee should be proactive as well as reactive on these issues.

Specifically, to provide a clinical perspective to NHS Highland Strategies and Plans and to the prioritisation of the use of resources.

The Committee will not concern itself with the remuneration and conditions of service.
