COVID-19 spring vaccine

On this page

Don’t let your protection fade this spring.

Information about the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine to help protect you from serious illness this spring.

It’s important to keep up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines as your level of protection may have faded since your last dose. Getting the vaccine this spring will top up your protection and help prevent you from getting seriously ill or dying from COVID-19.

Aged 75 or over? You'll be invited for your COVID-19 spring vaccine soon.

Check if you’re eligible

NHS Scotland recommends you have the spring vaccine this year if you:

  • are aged 75 years or over on 30 June 2024 (i.e. born on or before 30 June 1949)
  • live in a care home for older adults
  • are aged 6 months or over (by or on 31 March 2024) and have a weakened immune system

Important: Please wait to be contacted

All those eligible will be invited for their vaccination.

If you’re eligible, you’ll be sent information from NHS Scotland via letter, text or email about your appointment or how to book one. If you previously chose to be contacted digitally, you’ll receive a text or email. Otherwise, you’ll receive a letter.

You’ll be able to book or rearrange an appointment online.

If you believe you are eligible and have not been contacted about vaccination please contact our Service Delivery Centre.

Find out more about eligibility and booking at NHS inform.

Important: Online service for vaccination appointments

NHS Scotland offers an online booking portal to:

  • manage your upcoming flu and COVID-19 vaccination appointments
  • view your vaccination history
  • maintain your preferred contact details - if you select to receive correspondence about your COVID-19 and flu vaccines by email or SMS in future, then you'll no longer receive letters with this information

Daytime appointments only (usually between 9am and 4pm) - evening appointments are not available.

Appointments on some Argyll and Bute islands as shown on the map below should be booked directly with the local GP practice instead of using the portal.

Watch a YouTube video with more help about the online booking portal.

Login to the portal or register

Map of vaccination clinics

Accurate locations of COVID-19 vaccination clinic locations in the NHS Highland area.

Log in to the booking portal or contact the local Service Delivery Centre helpline to manage a clinic booking at one of these locations.

Use the booking portal to see bookable clinics and the map to find their location if necessary. Clinic locations on the map are checked regularly but clinics can fill up, so occasionally there may be a location on the map which will not represent a bookable clinic.

View the map in a separate browser tab.
