Maternity Day Assessment Unit
The Maternity Day Assessment Unit (MDAU) is a 24-hour service for women who are 14 weeks pregnant and over.
The MDAU midwives provide telephone advice to women experiencing problems relating to their pregnancy such as bleeding, feeling unwell, pain, blood pressure problems and baby not moving. You may be asked to attend the assessment unit for review by your obstetrician, midwife or GP, or following a telephone consultation with ward staff.
