Labour suite
Our labour ward is situated on the first floor of the maternity unit, in Zone 8 of Raigmore Hospital.
We have an obstetric and anaesthetic department with a theatre attached. Private rooms for birth and a birthing pool are available for you to use for labour and birth. The ward is staffed by midwives and health care support workers. Due to the restricted size of our rooms, we can only accommodate one birth supporter or partner at any one time.
