Brave participants took on a fiery challenge as Eadar Glinn Residential Home successfully hosted a Fire Walk fundraising event, raising an impressive £7,593 in support of the residential home residents.
The event saw walkers step barefoot across hot embers, demonstrating courage, determination, and strong community spirit. All funds raised will be used to support resident activities, equipment and, wellbeing initiatives.
The Fire Walk brought together members of the local community, families, friends, and supporters, all united by a shared goal to support the care home’s vital work. Participants received professional training and guidance before completing the challenge, with many describing the experience as both empowering and rewarding.
Angela MacKay, residential home manager of Eadar Glinn said: “We are absolutely overwhelmed by the support shown at our Fire Walk event. Raising £7,593 is a fantastic achievement, and these funds will make a real difference to our residents planned activities, and wellbeing. On behalf of our residents and staff, I would like to thank everyone who took part, donated, and came along to cheer us on.”
“We would like to thank Kerryanne McBride who organised the event with Fire Walk in Scotland.”
“We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to all participants, volunteers, supporters, and local businesses who helped make the event such a success.”
