Argyll and Bute HSCP is delighted to announce that Dr Jen Coyle has been appointed on a permanent basis as the salaried General Practitioner (GP) for the Carradale Practice in Kintyre.
Dr Coyle, who commenced in the salaried post on 2 February 2026, knows the practice and patients well, as she had previously worked locally as a locum GP.
Rowena Japp, Primary Care Manager for Board Managed Practices at Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership, said:
“We are really pleased that after a rigorous interview process, we have successfully appointed Dr Jen Coyle as the salaried GP for the Carradale Practice. She brings with her a wide range of experience and qualifications to the role and will be a real asset to the practice.
“This appointment also ensures that we have a permanent GP at Carradale which will allow us to continue to provide a resilient and sustainable service to the local communities that we serve. I would also like to thank the health and social care team at the practice for their ongoing commitment to the patients and ensuring that we provide a wide range of services locally.”
Dr Coyle has been a GP since 2008, did her GP training in Glasgow and has worked in urban and rural practices across Scotland as well working for a period of time as a GP in Tasmania.
