
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Eilidh Gallagher as the Head of Primary Care for Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP). She will begin her role on 18 August 2025.
The Head of Primary of the HSCP is responsible for leading primary care health services and ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare. This role encompasses a wide range of services, including General Practice (GPs), Dentistry, Community Treatment Services, and Vaccination programmes.
The Senior Leadership role involves coordinating with healthcare professionals, managing resources, and implementing policies to enhance services. The Head of Primary Care works with health and social care professionals to improve operational efficiency, patient-centred care, and address primary care challenges.
Eilidh stated: "I am pleased to step into the role of Head of Primary Care at Argyll and Bute HSCP. With a strong commitment to advancing integrated and person-centred care, I am looking forward to collaborating with health and social care professionals and continuing to deliver high-quality, safe, and effective care that meets the needs of the population.”
Eilidh started her career with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde as an administrator while pursuing her university studies. Over the past 17 years, she has accumulated extensive experience within the NHS, spanning various acute services. With more than 10 years of operational and strategic management knowledge, she has worked across a range of clinical portfolios at local, regional, and national levels. Two years ago, she took on the position of Head of Person-Centred Care at NHS Forth Valley. In this role, she manages a corporate portfolio and works collaboratively within the systems and frameworks of NHS Scotland.
