
Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) are pleased to announce the appointment of Lynsey Callaghan as the Professional Lead for Midwifery and Child Health
Lynsey is a dedicated and passionate advocate for maternal and child health, bringing over 24 years of experience in nursing and midwifery to her role. Her knowledge and expertise will ensure expectant mothers and their families continue to receive high-quality care, services and support throughout their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum journeys.
Under Lynsey's guidance, the Argyll and Bute midwifery teams are continuing to actively implement various initiatives aimed at enhancing maternal and infant health outcomes. These initiatives include community outreach programs, improved prenatal education, and groups promoting exercise and breastfeeding support for new mothers. Lynsey's commitment to person-centered care ensures that the unique needs of families are addressed, helping mothers, caregivers, and babies thrive.

In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Lynsey is involved in training and mentoring the next generation of midwives, sharing her knowledge and experience to inspire and guide them. Her dedication to lifelong learning and professional development is evident in her commitment to staying updated with the latest advancements in midwifery and child health.
