Jim McSorley appointed as the new Business Manager for the Argyll and Bute Alcohol and Drug Partnership

Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) are pleased to announce that Jim McSorley has been appointed as the new Business Manager for the Argyll and Bute Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP).

He assumed the position in April 2025 and is based at the Victoria Integrated Care Centre in Helensburgh.

Jim has more than six years of experience in the health improvement sector, combined with thirteen years in the third sector. His expertise includes managing community-based programmes aimed at preventing alcohol and drug misuse, particularly among young people. Recently, he was involved in initiatives regarding local alcohol availability and licensing, with a strong focus on implementing Alcohol-Based Interventions (ABIs).

Jim McSorley stated: "I am excited to build upon the excellent work that has already been done. I am committed to collaborating with our staff teams, service providers, families, and communities to support, improve, and develop sustainable alcohol and drug prevention and support services."

Tracey McFall, Chair of Argyll and Bute ADP, said: "I am pleased to welcome Jim to the role of Business Manager for ADP. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the alcohol and drug field. His expertise, combined with his unwavering enthusiasm, will help us implement effective plans and support to further improve substance misuse in our communities."
