Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) are pleased to be celebrating Volunteers Week, honouring the incredible dedication and hard work of all volunteers across Argyll and Bute.
This special week is an opportunity to recognise the invaluable contributions and dedication that truly make a difference to the lives of many people and services in our local communities. Volunteers Week will run from Monday 2 June through to Sunday 8 June 2025. It's a UK-wide campaign that celebrates and recognises the contributions of volunteers.
This year's campaign will be the 41st anniversary of the event. It is not only about commemorating volunteers but also about inspiring others to learn more about volunteering opportunities. Volunteering provides a sense of purpose and fulfilment, allowing individuals to connect with their community and make a real difference. It's a chance to learn new skills, share skills, meet new people, and give back to communities and society.
Evan Beswick, Chief Officer of Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership, stated: “First and foremost, I wish to express my sincere gratitude to all the exceptional former and current volunteers for their recognised acts of kindness, dedication and hard work within Argyll and Bute communities.
“Our volunteers exemplify the spirit of kindness and generosity, consistently enhancing the quality of diverse services. Their support and service play a crucial role in building stronger and more resilient communities.”
As we embark on this week-long celebration, we encourage community members to express their gratitude to local volunteers through a simple thank you, a shout-out on social media, or participation in volunteer-led events. Every gesture contributes to recognising the commitment of our dedicated volunteers.
