In Highland we are committed to improving both services and outcomes for children and their families. To achieve this we know that everyone involved with children and young people need to work together. In Highland these developments have led to the creation of Integrated Children's Services. Integrated Children's Services in Highland follows the national framework provided in "For Scotland's Children".
NHS Highland, the Highland Council and various partner services, including the voluntary sector, work together to ensure that Services for Children & Families in Highland promote:
- A single service system
- Enhanced support to families
- Investment in universal provision
- An outcome approach to improved services
The aim for all agencies involved is to ensure that:
