Pharmacy Closure – Inverness

26/01/2012   |  South East Highland

Lloydspharmacy have notified NHS Highland, in line with the National Health Service (Pharmaceutical Services) (Scotland) Regulations, that they intend to permanently close their pharmacy at 10 Church Street, Inverness IV1 1EA.

Fiona Slavin, Lloydspharmacy Area Manager, said: “Lloydspharmacy can confirm its pharmacy located at 10, Church Street, Inverness will close on 31 March 2012.

“As a pharmacy retailer we regularly review our estate to ensure we are operating efficiently. Unfortunately the branch is no longer a financially sustainable business which is why we have regretfully taken the decision to close.

“We’re working closely with NHS Highland and other healthcare professionals to ensure the closure is managed as smoothly as possible.”

There are a number of community pharmacies in the Inverness city centre. NHS Highland therefore anticipates that continuity of delivery of pharmaceutical services will be maintained in the area.

Details of contact details for NHS Highland pharmacies can be found on the NHS Highland website at www.nhshighland.scot.nhs.uk/Services/Pages/Pharmacies

NHS Highland have been advised that patients who wish to discuss the closure or how they can access Lloydspharmacy healthcare services can speak to a member of the healthcare team at Lloydspharmacy, 18 Greig Street, Inverness on 01463 233545.
