YOUNG footballers in Inverness have pledged to help support people not to smoke – by signing up to a groundbreaking NHS Highland initiative.

The Smoke-Free Sports scheme aims to create environments to help prevent young people from starting to smoke, protecting the public from second-hand smoke and helping people who want to quit.

Highland Hospice will take a major step towards their aim of ensuring their facilities meet current expectations of patients and families by applying to the Highland Council for planning permission for the complete replacement of their In Patient Unit in Inverness.
